Given the stature of Hemingway and his enduring legacy, it's of course inevitable that much new information will continue to be uncovered over time and much old information reexamined, both of which will serve to expand and correct previous bibliographies.Late last year Oak Knoll Press released a new Hemingway bibliography that reflects this in spades. Edgar Grissom's Ernest Hemingway: A Descriptive Bibliography is a massive, near definitive resource that goes places I have never traveled with any other bibliography.In homage to a nude self-portrait Sagmeister had sent out to announce the formation of his own firm 19 years prior, the new partners released a photo of themselves naked in their office to announce the renaming of the firm to Sagmeister & Walsh.
They invite followers to join their journey, "whether it's random acts of kindness, facing a fear or insecurity, being nice to your enemies, or paying it forward," and document with photography, illustrations, writing, and typography on social media with the tag #12kindsofkindness.
Although the two designers led the project, the acquired immense assistance from friends, family and co-workers, from film to animation included to illustrate each step.
It carries the Naïad sign on the crown, a signature dating back to the '30s delineating watches of superior water-resistance.
Fun fact: according to Greek mythology, the Naïad were a type of female spirit, who presided over various bodies of fresh water – a neat tie-in to Omega’s famed hippocampus which adorns each caseback on the Omega 1957 Trilogy series.
That includes a skinny countdown aluminum bezel insert, as opposed to the full-sized, Liquid Metal count-up bezel found on 2014’s version.
